We bring liquidity to a market that doesn't have any.
There is no MLS for domain names — no listings, no comps, no market price. For two decades we've negotiated the distance between the domain a company needs and the owner who controls it.
“MediaOptions is consistently #1 for a reason: they deliver results. We asked for their help selling a premium domain and they jumped in with all their expertise and experience — we are amazed at the outcome.”
— OWNER OF OK.COM · SELL-SIDE ENGAGEMENT
Client identities in this market are usually confidential. [FOR EMMA: any named testimonials we're cleared to use would go here.]
The buy side
The moment the owner knows who you are, the price changes.
A funded startup asking about a domain has just told the owner its budget. We approach, negotiate and acquire on your behalf without exposing the company behind the offer — and you pay nothing unless we succeed.
The Strategic Strike Method™
01IdentifyWe confirm the real owner — including the hard-to-find ones.
02ValueA defensible price range you can take to your board before we make contact.
03ApproachFirst contact is made without exposing you or your budget.
04NegotiatePrice, contract and terms — with us as the buffer, not you.
05TransferEscrow-secured. Funds release only once the domain is in your account.
TYPICALLY 2–8 WEEKS · YOU STAY ANONYMOUS THROUGHOUT
Already contacted the owner?
Emailed them from your company address? Got silence, or a number with too many zeros? That's recoverable — it's one of the most common situations we inherit, and precisely why the buffer exists.
The sell side
Your domain isn't unsellable. It's unmarketed.
The best buyer for your domain doesn't know it's available — or doesn't yet understand what it's worth. We identify likely buyers, position the asset and call decision-makers directly. No mass email, and nothing owed unless it sells.
What an exclusive period actually buys
01A real valuationThe Rosener Equation™ — the industry's named method, not a free tool's guess.
02PositioningA custom pitch deck built for the top companies in your niche.
03Targeted outreachDirect calls to decision-makers — we don't blast lists.
04Negotiation & closeEscrow-secured, with funds confirmed before transfer.
80% OF DOMAINS WE TAKE ON EXCLUSIVELY GO ON TO SELL YOU PAY NOTHING UNLESS YOURS DOES
Tired of insulting offers?
Anyone holding a good name gets the $500 emails. You've learned to ignore inbound — rightly. A brokered sale works the other way: we take your asset to qualified buyers, educate them on its value, and negotiate from strength.

Domains acquired, sold or brokered by MediaOptions. [FOR EMMA: labelling each line — "acquired anonymously for a corporate buyer", "sold after repositioning and targeted outreach" — turns a name list into a case-study wall. We need the buy/sell split and whatever outcomes you're cleared to disclose.]
The before and after
What actually changes for you.
BEFORE
You're building on the compromise.
yourbrand.io — the name you settled for
Your email to the owner, sent from the company address: no reply
The price moved the moment they learned who was asking
The launch date isn't moving either way
AFTER
The .com is in your account.
The owner never learned your name
A number your board signed off before we ever made contact
Escrow released funds only once the domain was yours
2–8 weeks · you paid only on success
↔
BEFORE
A valuable asset nobody is bidding on.
Another renewal invoice for an asset earning nothing
Inbox: one more “$500 — final offer”
Free appraisal tools: four numbers, none of them real
Years of holding. No qualified buyer has ever called.
AFTER
Sold — to a buyer who understood its value.
A defensible valuation before you signed anything
Decision-makers called directly — no mass email
Funds confirmed in escrow before the transfer
You paid nothing until it closed
↔
Drag the handle. Illustrative scenario — the mechanisms (anonymity, escrow, pay-on-success) are the real terms.
Pricing, in the open
You only pay when we succeed. Both sides.
Buying
10% of acquisition · $2,500 min
No upfront fee. No retainer, no monthly cost.
Typical timeline: 2–8 weeks
Anonymous from first contact to transfer
Escrow-secured — the domain is yours before funds release
Selling
15% of sale · $1,500 min
Nothing unless it sells.
Exclusive marketing period — 80% of exclusives sell
Direct outreach to decision-makers, not mass email
Escrow-secured — funds confirmed before transfer
What the fee covers, and when it's owed. Valuation, owner research, outreach, the full negotiation, contracts and the escrow transfer are all included — there is no separate charge for any stage. The fee becomes payable only on a completed transaction. If we don't close, you owe nothing.
Who you're dealing with
Representation, not a listings site.
One side of the table
We represent buyers and sellers — but on any single transaction we act for one client and protect that client's position from first contact through transfer. It's also why our valuations are grounded: we're on the other side of these negotiations every week.
